On Friday, Papa & I took the kids to
Hidden Valley Ski Resort out in the
Cypress Hills.
It was a beautiful day, we had at least 5
cms of fresh powder to start the day.
The temperature hovered around -11 all day. When we first got there it was very foggy but it didn't take long for the sun to burn it off.
And surprisingly
enough it wasn't all that busy!
Blair has been bugging us all winter to go; next year we're getting him his own board and he's going every weekend!
Kirby went with school last month and tried snowboarding, she absolutely loved it.
She actually did pretty good, not as fast as her brother but than again he
is a boy!
Papa came along again this year,
he does better than me!!!
The end of a fun day!
We met up with Carolyn's sister Sherry, Dean & the boys.
On the way home we seen a heard of about 50 elk basking in the afternoon sun on the west slope of the hills. When driving out in the morning we seen some moose and several large herds of mule deer.
