South District Patrol

Yesterday Perry was back to work after his week in Mexico, we went on a patrol of the south part of our district around Waterton Reservoir into Cardston District than back to the front ranges.

Here we are on the northern boundary of Waterton National Park. Notice how clean my truck is? It doesn't stay that way for long!

Looking south into Waterton National Park from the boundary fence, that's the buffalo paddock in the foreground.

Yarrow basin.

Good thing there isn't much for snow, this is avalanche country!

Following Yarrow Creek into the mountains.

Spionkop Ridge.

A herd of bison on the hilltop.

A friendly mule along the roadway.

Another friend who came to visit, there was 4 of them and they licked the side of my truck clean!

South Drywood Creek looking down the valley towards Bovin Lake.

See those trails along the hillside at the base of the mountain? Those are traditional bighorn sheep trails that are probably 1,000's of years old!

A frozen waterfall below Drywood Mountain.
