Oh Deer!

This morning we awoke to deer in the backyard, they have come before, in fact one day while eating supper 11 appeared from the valley, including a nice 5x5 buck. In the herd is an old doe with a bad front leg, as the rest hopped the back fence and dispersed into the adjacent field, the crippled doe stayed and fed off the grass growing on the mound in the backyard.

This is the crippled doe's fawn, she came for a visit a couple of nights ago too.

Hi Jeff and all your family,
I really enjoy the Blog that you have set up. Since my life is still so busy I think I will set one up as well. This way I can add a bit each day instead of procrastinating on getting my e-mails sent out. I have moved as well. I have been struggling to find a place where I feel comfortable to retire in. Lloydminster has won out. It is central in all aspects, It's a brand new condo. I was the first one to move in. The entry intercoms and hallway floors are still not covered. I finally got my Internet set up. I've been living at my son's in Green Lake. I love my son, but we both know we need to have our own castle, so to speak. He has been wonderful with my OLD habits that don't always coincide with his. It's great though , because they are only 1 1/2 hour drive to my place.

Jeff, I haven't stopped thinking about you and your wonderful family. Nostalgia sets in on me though, and the regrets of not being in your life all these years still haunts me once in a while. It's taking time for me to come to grips with that. I turn 65 next May, and at that time I intend to SLOW down in my work. I noticed you have a camper. I also have a little 16 ft. with all amenities.
So next summer I intend to do a lot of camping and moving about.
Jeff, give my love to your family and to you Jeff, I'm so proud and honored to have a God son that has turned out to be such a beautiful person.
Love
Uncle Tom
